Gradient Frosted Sticker in Dubai: A Guide to Office Glass Privacy

A meeting room does not always need frosting from floor to ceiling. Sometimes the useful screen is at seated eye level, with clear glass above to keep the room visually connected to the office. A gradient frosted sticker creates that transition: the frosting becomes lighter until it fades into clear glass.

What is gradient frosted film?

Gradient frosted film is a self-adhesive decorative glass film with a transition between a denser frosted area and a clearer area. The effect can be specified as a factory-made gradation film or produced through an appropriate custom printing workflow. The material and production method must be agreed before ordering; different films do not have identical appearance or privacy performance.

It is often called fade privacy film, gradient glass frosting or graduated window film. These terms describe the visual effect, rather than a guarantee of complete privacy. Clear sections remain see-through, and the frosted sections can still reveal silhouettes depending on lighting and distance.

Choose the fade around the way your room is used

Bottom-to-clear gradient

A denser lower area fading upward is useful when you want to soften views of desks, cables and seated occupants while leaving the upper part of the partition clear. Check the proposed fade against the actual desk and chair heights.

Central privacy band

A central band can screen seated eye level while keeping glass above and below more open. On a run of panels, its height should line up across doors and fixed partitions. A drawing with measurements from the finished floor helps avoid a stepped appearance.

Custom gradient direction

A top fade or a side-to-side gradient may suit a particular interior or graphic concept. Send a photograph and mark the area where visibility should be reduced. We will confirm the available material and print method for that layout.

How to measure gradient film in square metres

Measure the width and height of the area to be covered on each panel. Multiply width in metres by height in metres, then add the areas. A film area 1.2 m wide by 2 m high is 2.4 m²; three identical areas total 7.2 m².

List each panel separately, including doors. The glass height, covered height and fade height are different measurements, so label all three where relevant. Include handles, hinges, frame edges and any gaps that affect application.

Film comes in rolls, but a roll length alone does not describe a finished installation. Roll width, gradient orientation, panel layout, joins and cutting allowance influence material usage. Your quotation should identify the coverage area and state whether printing, preparation, delivery and installation are included.

Logo placement and artwork preparation

A company logo can be incorporated into the agreed layout. Keep important lettering in an area where it remains legible, and decide which side of the glass is the main viewing side. Artwork viewed from the opposite side may appear mirrored; ordinary glass graphics should not be presented as different front-and-back artwork.

Send your logo as vector artwork where available, along with panel dimensions and a photo of the space. Before production, review the fade direction, its starting and ending heights, logo position and alignment between adjoining panels. A material sample is useful when privacy or colour is important.

Installation, care and quotation

The glass condition and the selected film determine preparation and application. Tell us about existing film, coatings, scratches and access restrictions. Installation can be quoted with the supply, and removal of an older film should be identified separately.

After installation, follow the film-specific curing and cleaning instructions. Use compatible gentle cleaners and soft cloths; avoid abrasive tools and picking at edges. Removal may require adhesive cleanup, so do not assume every film will lift off without residue.
