PRODUCT GUIDE

Custom Cut Frosted Logos in Dubai: A Guide to Glass Branding

A company logo on a glass entrance should look intentional, without hiding the room behind it. Custom cut frosted logos achieve that balance: the logo and lettering are cut from frosted vinyl, while the surrounding glass stays clear. The result is a soft etched-glass appearance on office doors, meeting-room partitions and reception glazing.

THE RPS LLC produces custom frosted glass logos in Dubai with in-house cutting, artwork preparation and installation available by quotation. Each design is sized for the actual glass panel rather than a standard square sticker. Send your logo, the required width and height, and a photograph of the glass to start.

What is a custom cut frosted logo?

A custom cut frosted logo is a self-adhesive vinyl graphic shaped to match your company logo, lettering or symbol. A cutting plotter follows the artwork outlines; the unwanted film is removed, and a temporary application carrier keeps the individual shapes aligned during installation. Once that carrier is peeled away, only the cut design remains on the glass.

This is surface-applied film, not permanent sandblasting or acid etching. It can provide a similar decorative appearance without replacing the glass. The finish, adhesive and suitability for a particular surface are checked when the material is selected.

Cut frosted logos, reverse frosting or printed film?

These products can look similar in photographs, but the finished glass behaves differently. Choose the construction around your main requirement: a visible brand, greater privacy or colour artwork.

Choosing a glass branding finish
Option What remains on the glass When to choose it
Custom cut frosted logo Frosted logo and lettering; clear glass around the shapes. You want understated branding while keeping an open view.
Reverse frosted graphics A frosted background with clear logo or lettering cut-outs. You want a privacy band or frosted panel with a transparent brand detail.
Printed frosted film A translucent frosted base with printed logos or colour artwork. Your design requires brand colours, gradients or a printed pattern.

For a clear logo inside a frosted background, explore reverse frosted graphics. For colour artwork, see printed frosted film. A cut logo by itself is primarily a branding treatment; it does not provide the same privacy as full-panel frosting.

Where frosted logo stickers work well

Office entrance doors and reception glass

Place a company logo where visitors naturally look as they approach the entrance. Check it from the corridor as well as from reception: furniture, dark interiors and daylight can change the contrast. Keep the artwork away from handles, hinges and panel edges so the layout feels balanced.

Meeting rooms and office partitions

Repeated frosted lettering can identify meeting rooms or maintain consistent branding across a row of partitions. Align the designs to a shared height and check panel joints before cutting. If the room also needs privacy, plan a separate band or broader film coverage rather than expecting a small logo to obscure the view.

Retail entrances and showrooms

Cut frosted vinyl suits a restrained storefront identity where the display behind the glass should remain visible. For a larger project combining logos, opening hours and other graphics, our office glass branding service can help coordinate the layout.

How to measure your frosted logo

Measure the usable glass panel first, then decide the overall width and height of the complete logo lockup, including any tagline. Share both measurements: the glass size helps us assess placement, while the artwork size determines the production layout. Mark whether the graphic belongs on a door, a fixed panel or several matching panels.

Film area is calculated from width multiplied by height in metres. For example, a logo layout measuring 0.8 m wide by 0.4 m high occupies a 0.32 m² bounding area. That does not mean the quotation is based only on the visible frosted shapes: film usage, cutting complexity, weeding, repeat quantities and installation also affect the cost. We confirm the pricing basis for your layout before production.

Artwork requirements for clean cutting

A vector logo in AI, EPS, SVG or a suitable vector PDF is the best starting point because its outlines can be scaled and cut cleanly. Convert lettering to outlines and include the complete logo arrangement. A photograph or PNG can help us identify the design, but it may need to be redrawn into cutting artwork.

Very thin strokes, tiny letters and closely spaced details can be difficult to weed and apply. We review those details at the proposed finished size and recommend adjustments where needed. The approved proof should show the logo dimensions, orientation, placement and which parts are frosted or clear.

Material, production and installation

Frosted and etched-effect self-adhesive films offer different textures and levels of translucency. We select an appropriate option for the design, glass and intended application. A film sample can be useful when matching existing frosting or checking the appearance under your office lighting.

  1. Check the artwork and glass: review logo outlines, dimensions, panel photographs and the intended viewing side.
  2. Approve the layout: confirm scale, position, frosted shapes and any clear cut-outs.
  3. Cut and prepare: plotter-cut the film, remove the unwanted material and apply the transfer carrier.
  4. Apply and inspect: clean the suitable glass surface, align the design and check the finished edges.

Installation in Dubai is available by quotation. Let us know about high panels, restricted access, existing film or coatings, and any building access requirements. We confirm the schedule after the artwork, material and site conditions are agreed.

Cleaning and future removal

Follow the selected film’s care instructions and allow the recommended time after installation before cleaning. Use a soft cloth and suitable non-abrasive cleaner; avoid scraping or repeatedly catching the cut edges. Although the graphic can be replaced, removal may require adhesive cleaning. Residue-free removal should not be assumed for every film or surface.

What to send for an accurate quotation

Send your logo file, finished artwork width and height, the number of matching logo sets, glass photographs and the installation location. Mention whether you need supply only or supply and installation. For mixed sizes, list each layout separately. This helps us quote the actual work instead of giving a misleading rate based on size alone.

If your main aim is to make large transparent panels easier to notice, compare glass manifestation film. If you want a broader frosted finish, see sandblast stickers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got questions? We’ve got answers.

What are custom cut frosted logos made from?+

They are made from self-adhesive frosted or etched-effect vinyl cut to the outlines of a logo or lettering. The unwanted film is removed, leaving separate frosted shapes on clear glass.

What is the difference between a cut frosted logo and reverse frosting?+

A cut frosted logo leaves the logo shapes frosted and the surrounding glass clear. Reverse frosting leaves a frosted background around a clear logo cut-out. The artwork proof should identify which areas are frosted and which are transparent.

Do frosted logo stickers provide office privacy?+

A logo alone only obscures the areas covered by its shapes. It leaves most of the glass transparent. For meeting-room privacy, consider a larger frosted band or panel with a logo incorporated into the layout.

Can you make a frosted logo to a custom size?+

Yes. Share the required overall width and height, glass panel dimensions and number of copies. Fine lettering and small details are checked at the finished size before the cutting proof is approved.

Which file is best for cutting a company logo?+

AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF with outlined lettering is preferred. PNG and JPEG files may need conversion into vector artwork before cutting; we assess the file and confirm any preparation required.

Is the price calculated per square metre or per logo?+

The quotation considers the logo layout area, number of copies, film, cutting and weeding complexity, and installation requirements. We confirm the pricing basis for your design rather than treating every logo as a standard square-metre job.

Will a logo installed inside glass read correctly from outside?+

We can plan the artwork for the intended viewing side. Lettering is normally reversed when viewed from the opposite side of a single cut graphic, so tell us which side should read correctly before production.

Can frosted vinyl logos be removed later?+

The applied film can be removed and replaced, unlike permanent etching. Adhesive residue and removal effort depend on the selected film, its age and the glass surface; cleaning may be required.

Do you offer frosted logo installation in Dubai?+

Yes, installation is available by quotation. Send the location, glass photographs, panel dimensions and access details so the installation scope and schedule can be confirmed.
