White Ink Printed Frosting in Dubai: A Guide to Office Glass Branding
A white logo on glass can look quiet and understated while still giving an office a clear identity. White ink printed frosting adds logos, lines and decorative artwork to self-adhesive window film, creating a white-on-glass finish for meeting rooms, reception doors and partitions. THE RPS LLC provides custom white ink glass printing in Dubai, with in-house production and installation options.
The design matters as much as the amount of glass covered. A fine pattern leaves open views between the printed areas; a denser layout gives more visual screening. This guide explains how to choose the effect, measure the glass and prepare your artwork.
What is white ink printed frosting?
White ink printed frosting uses printed white artwork to create a decorative, frosted-style appearance on window film. The film is applied to the existing glass. The printed areas appear white; how the surrounding areas look depends on the film selected. Clear film leaves unprinted areas transparent, while a frosted base also diffuses the view through those areas.
Confirm the substrate and print coverage before ordering. The photographs show illustrative white patterns with clear gaps. A sample helps you judge the actual appearance against the lighting and background in your own space.
White ink printing, frosted vinyl or a cut-out logo?
These finishes can look similar in a photograph but give different results on the glass. Choose around the effect you need.
| Finish | How it works | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| White ink printed window film | White artwork is printed onto a continuous film carrier. | Detailed white logos, fine lines and decorative patterns. |
| Printed frosted film | Artwork is printed on a film with a frosted base. | Colour branding with broader visual screening. |
| Cut-out frosted logo | Sections are removed from frosted vinyl to reveal the glass. | A logo defined by clear openings within frosting. |
For colour graphics, compare our printed frosted film. For a design made by cutting the film, see custom cut frosted logos. If you mainly want transparent graphics, our ultra clear glass stickers provide another starting point.
Choosing a white design for office glass
For a reception door, a white company logo at a comfortable viewing height can be enough. Keep small lettering away from the handle and frame, and check the background: white artwork is easier to see against darker furnishings than against a bright white wall.
For meeting-room partitions, think about the sightlines of seated staff and people walking past. A privacy band can screen selected areas while leaving the upper glass clear. A full-panel pattern gives a stronger decorative effect, but open gaps between the lines still allow views through the glass.
- Logo design: a simple white mark with clear space around it.
- Privacy band: coverage positioned around the sightlines you want to screen.
- Decorative pattern: repeating lines or shapes planned across the panel layout.
Printed frosting is not a promise of complete privacy. The result depends on coverage, film, lighting and distance from the glass. Assess a sample if visual privacy is critical. Decorative film is also not a substitute for a certified safety-glazing requirement.
How to measure white ink window film in m²
Measure the width and covered height of each section in metres. Multiply them to calculate the covered area, then add the sections together.
Area (m²) = width (m) × covered height (m). A band 1.5 m wide and 0.8 m high covers 1.2 m². Four equal bands cover 4.8 m². For partial coverage, use the height of the film rather than the height of the entire glass panel.
Send individual panel dimensions as well as the total area. Frames, panel gaps, handles and doors affect where the design can sit. A sketch with numbered panels and photographs of the glass helps us plan alignment, trimming and any joins.
Preparing your company logo and artwork
Supply a vector PDF, AI, EPS or SVG file where possible. Identify the elements that should print in white and the areas that should remain unprinted. A white design can disappear against the white background of an artwork preview, so include a separate visual showing the intended result.
Tell us which side of the glass people should read the logo from and where the film will be installed. Text viewed from the reverse side can appear mirrored. If you need different readable artwork on both sides, discuss a dedicated double-sided window sticker construction rather than assuming a single white print will do both jobs.
We review the artwork and panel layout before production. For detailed lines or a particular level of screening, request a sample so the final specification can be approved.
What affects the quotation?
The starting price on this page is indicative; it should not be read as a confirmed price per square metre. Your quotation depends on covered area, film specification, white ink coverage, artwork preparation, finishing and installation. Several small panels can involve different preparation and fitting work from one large panel with the same total area.
Share the panel measurements, glass photographs, artwork, location and required date. Mention existing film that needs removal and any access restrictions. We will confirm the pricing basis, inclusions and production schedule with the quotation.
Printing, installation and care
Once the layout is approved, the film is printed and finished for the agreed panel arrangement. Installation includes checking the glass surface, preparing it appropriately and aligning the graphics across doors and partitions. The fitting method follows the chosen material requirements.
Follow the care instructions supplied for the installed film. Allow the adhesive to settle before cleaning, use the recommended cleaner with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive pads or scraping over the artwork. Durability depends on material, exposure, installation and maintenance; discuss exposed exterior glass before ordering.
Got questions? We’ve got answers.
What is the difference between white ink printing and normal frosted film?+
White ink printing creates the white artwork on the film. Standard frosted film has a frosted appearance in the material itself. On a clear carrier, unprinted gaps remain transparent; on a frosted base, those gaps still have the base film's frosted effect.
Can you print my company logo in white on office glass?+
Yes. Send your vector logo, panel measurements and a photograph of the glass. We check the artwork position and confirm the film and white print specification before production.
Are the clear gaps cut out of the film?+
In a white ink printed design on clear film, the gaps are unprinted areas within a continuous transparent carrier. A cut-out frosted design uses a different process in which parts of the vinyl are removed.
Does a white printed pattern provide complete privacy?+
No. Open gaps allow views through the glass, and screening varies with the design, film, lighting and distance. Use an approved sample to assess privacy in the actual space.
Should I order by linear metres or square metres?+
Provide the covered area in m² and the width and covered height of every panel. The film comes on a roll, but individual dimensions are still needed to plan printing, trimming and installation.
Will the logo read correctly from both sides?+
A single printed logo can appear reversed from the other side. Tell us the intended viewing side before artwork approval. For different readable designs on both sides, ask about a suitable double-sided construction.
Can you install white ink printed frosting in Dubai?+
Installation can be included by quotation. Send glass photographs, panel dimensions and the location so we can assess the surface, access and fitting requirements.
What do I need for an accurate quote?+
Send your artwork, panel measurements, total area in m², glass photographs, location and required date. State whether you need supply only, installation or removal of existing film.
